'77 Road ready

I think I have the '77 Road ready now.  Carbs rebuilt.  New fuel pump installed.  When I put the carbs on I didn't do them up tight enough and so I was leaking...but I solved that.  I guess I was in a rush to put them back on the bike.
Hopefully the weather will clear up and I can take her for her maiden voyage.

'78 Saddlebags

Due to the need to carry stuff while I ride, I added some Bates Saddle bags on the '78.  I'll probably have them painted black with some yellow pin striping.  I may remove the amber lights though.

77 carbs

Carbs were terrible. Jets mixed up. Broken float seat. Clogged to the max. Seals dried up.  Incorrect screws.

77 exhaust

While waiting for the float seat repair kit I painted the exhaust black.  It came up looking pretty good.

I'll get some better pics when i put the carbs back on and get it into the sun.

78 back from paint

I like the paint scheme. One day in the future i may want a new seat and maybe aome artwork in the black side cover area...but it's looking good.  This outback boy is looking good on the road.

What a wonderful sight. Will be better when i get parts for the 78 back from paint. Working on a design for a new seat for the 77. Depending on the outsome I'll probably switch it to the 78.

78 new paint

Here's what I'm thinking with the new paint.  May do something to lower side covers too. Also put on bag rack and also the original exhaust that I bought the bike with...after experimenting with two others.
