2006 CFMOTO V5

Traded the kz550 for this sweet looking automatic cruiser 250cc for my wife to ride. Radio. Mp3 attachment.

Turn signals and all lights.

Finished the install of the new headlight and turn signals. Also fixed my wiring error for lights on engine bar. Took it for a cruise and it was great.

77 Gl1000

Looking good. But i need to find the time to get her running.

78 looking sleek

It may be cold but the ride it's still fun. Waiting on new headlight to come in. Thinking about graphic for side covers...looking good.

78 purple lights

Added some light for coolness and safety. Hidden inline switch turns them on and off.

I'll get a pic of it on the 78. Looking pretty good. Put a little extra foam padding and covered with marine vinal.

78 gets a face lift.

So I took off the windjammer and saddlebags off the 78. Took the red seat off the 77 and shaped it and put it on the 78. Still need to cover it. Took off the rear floorboards. Need to put on headlight and turn signals on the front. New muffler give it a harley sound...not sure if I'll keep them on.

Yep. Definitely going to shape a seat for a nice sloping line.

Ok. So i decided to go with the low look. Still not running...but I've been busy with my knee surgey and making a pedel car with my sons.

Well it's up and running but carb 3 is flooding.

Windjammer lenses

Well I finally got some reasonably priced turn signal lenses for the 78 windjammer.

82...New headlight and seat

New headlight and seat temporarily installed since i had my knee surgery the other day.

77 side covers.

Picked up side covers for the 77 from paint shop. Dropped off parts from the 82 for paint.

82 Ready for paint.

Seems like i may have just messed up the battery. So side covers and gas tank are off ready to go to the paint shop. Fairing is off. Needing to get a front headlight and she'll be ready to hit the streets again.

1982 Kz550 ltd

Got a Kawasaki 550 LTD for my wife. Getting a new seat. Going to the paint shop and removing the windjammer...then to teach her how to ride :-)

77 still won't start.

So I installed dyna coils, wires, and a new ballast resistor but it still won't start...pulling out the multimeter again to see what else is wrong.

Selling the 77

So my wife tells me that if i sell the 77 and get a smaller bike for her she'd ride with me. So now that it's cooler I'm working on the bike again. Ordered dyna coils and ballast resister. Hoping that's my only problem stopping the bike from running. Switched the engine crash bars on the 77 & 78.i like the ones that were on the 77 better...and they have lights on them.

So I've decided to take off the saddle bags and floorboards on the 77 to make it look more stock...and sportier. One day i want to create my own custom shell...like in the picture...but not a bulky.

Side covers on the '78 are in the shop for plastic welding and repainting.

Some progress

Well the '78 is back up and running again. The'77 needs some dyna coils. And here I am with a knee needing surgery. I'd like to get the 77 up and running by october so maybe my dad and I can take a ride when he comes for a visit from australia. if only I had more time and money :-)
